JOB SUMMARY:

To effectively outwork all elements from start to finish for large scale events of between 300 – 2000 attendees. This is a part-time position, with hours to be arranged.

Founded in 2016 by Grammy award-winning songwriter, Carla Marie Williams, Girls I Rate are a non-profit organisation striving to celebrate, empower and advocate for girls and young women in the music and other creative industries. We push for female representation, recognition and gender equality. 

JOB OBLIGATIONS:

  • To plan and deliver all elements pertaining to live events.
  • To be point of contact for all correspondence for events.
  • Be responsible for full end-to-end project management of the event – including logistics, venues, post-event analysis etc.
  • To prepare and manage all documents and information as necessary.
  • To establish deadlines as required.
  • Ensure we build on learnings from previous events.
  • Manage multiple stakeholders from different departments under tight deadline pressures.
  • Manage a team of staff and volunteers to facilitate all elements of the event plan.
  • Manage budget sheets and costings.
  • Weekly team calls.

PERSON REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 years minimum previous experience in a similar role and a track record in planning and operations of events at all stages.
  • IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proven experience of working to strict deadlines and refined organisational skills.
  • Experience of working in a team or alone and dealing with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to prioritise requirements and juggle an ever-changing workload.
  • Understands how to present commercial analysis of events.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to update team.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate team.
  • Experience within high pressure environments.
  • Natural initiative and problem-solving ability.
