CALLING ALL SONGWRITERS AND PRODUCERS – WOMXN AGED 16-30…

We are looking for the FUTURE HITMAKERS of the UK, to give an amazing opportunity to get your music heard on our A&R Listening Competition!!   

We want to hear your FUTURE HITS, so if you believe you are the next best songwriter, producer or lyricists to blow….. then now is YOUR time to send us your hottest track and GETHEARD!!   

All you have to do is submit one of your original tracks that you have written or composed that you think is next to blow on your scene. The top 10 applicants will be listened to by our A&R panel of industry experts, who will decide the Top 3 songwriters and/or producers.  

Once you submit your music, you could be in for a chance to have your future hit heard on BBC Music Introducing or The Beat London, as well as receive lots of other exciting prizes listed below.  

With only 18.5% of the total PRS membership being female we want to give more womxn a platform to get their music heard.

We will be awarding the Top 3 Artists the below bursaries to help propel your career: 

1st Place = £3,000 

2nd Place = £2,000 

3rd Place = £1,000

The GETHEARD FUTURE HITMAKER COMPETITION Panel

The top 10 applicants will be listened to by our panel of industry experts, who will decide the Top 3 songwriter and/or producers at our live event on 4th December 2022 at Brixton Jamm.

GIRLS I RATE X BBC MUSIC INTRODUCING X THE BEAT LONDON

 GIR will be taking over BBC Music Introducing regional radio shows to present shortlisted tracks followed by a special edition show to feature GETHEARD FUTURE HITMAKER winners.

If you are based in Suffolk, East Midlands or West Midlands, make sure to submit your tracks as early as possible to not miss this opportunity!  

 

15th October, 2022: BBC Music Introducing – SUFFOLK

29th October, 2022: BBC Music Introducing – EAST MIDLANDS 

12th November: BBC Music Introducing – WEST MIDLANDS

10th December: BBC Music Introducing – LONDON (Winners Show)    

 

For all other regions, GIR will be featuring select tracks in our monthly segment at The Beat London on 14th November and 12th December, as well as on live stream on our social media.

If you are aged 16-30 and write and/or produce your own music, then we want to hear from you!

Upload your track and complete the application form via the link below 

Upload up to 60-sec video of your submission track on TikTok and tag @girlsirate 

You need to have written and / or produced your submitted track 

We accept artists but only if they have written and / or produced their submitted track 

This competition is for females only 

Must be UK-based to receive a bursary (Ireland residents can still apply but not eligible for a bursary) 

APPLICATIONS CLOSE AT 9PM ON Monday 21st November 2022  

ON SUNDAY 4th DECEMBER 2022 WE WILL BE HOSTING A LIVE FINALE EVENT IN LONDON WHERE OUR PANEL OF TOP MUSIC INDUSTRY A&R’S WILL HEAR YOUR TRACKS, GIVE FEEDBACK LIVE & ANNOUNCE THE WINNERS!!
