#FUTUREHITMAKER BEATMAKING SESSIONS is an initiative founded by Carla Marie Williams designed to create a safe space for womxn producers to come together, collaborate and gain access to commercial work with major labels and publishers.

Over a weekend in September 2022, Girls I Rate partnered with Carla Marie Williams to host the first UK beatmaking session supported by The Qube studios and Sony Publishing. 8 up-and-coming female producers were selected from the GIR ARMY of over 5,000 young, vibrant female creatives to spend 2 days collaborating on beats for active briefs for Sony Publishing artists and learning pro tips from seasoned industry producers ATG, Jack Hudson, and Carla Marie Williams. Girls I Rate thank The Qube for providing 4 production studios, Sony Music Publishing for sharing the briefs, OPDC for funding, and Wingstop for feeding our guests, altogether supporting our mission to improve gender diversity in the music and entertainment industry.
